Mount Terrick Terrick Campground in Australië

A pleasant quiet site in open woodland at the foot of the only protruding hill on a flat landscape.
The trees and hills are welcome after driving miles over flat farmland. There are two designated, graveled sites (only 1 level) but with free access to the surrounding flats. All are open to the occasional day visitor. Rated 4.2/5 The granite soils support rare stands of White cypress pine, stunted Manna (Ribbony) Gum and Grey and Yellow Box to provide open shade. Can be hot and dry in summer. Much of the Park to the north has been largely undisturbed, resulting in a rare example of native grasslands, supporting kangaroos and birds. In spring there are masses of wildflowers: yellow native daisies, red and purple Swainson peas, blue-purple blue bells.

This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.

Getting there
From Mitiamo (at the junction of the Echuca-Mitiamo Rd [C334] and the Bendigo-Pyramid Rd [C366]): North 4k on the Forest Rd (gravel starts just before the Park boundary), at the Park boundary right (east) on Cemetery Track (natural gravel, graded) along the boundary then left (signposted "picnic ground") 1.8k towards Mt Terrick Terrick.
