Minutes from the sugar-white Gulf of Mexico beaches and the beach-front community of Madeira Beach, this Gulf Coast KOA Holiday is located in tropical paradise setting along a mangrove-lined bayou. Peacefully secluded while being close to it all, this KOA features spacious RV sites, Camping Cabins, waterfront tent sites and fully-furnished Deluxe Cabins with all the amenities of home. Campground amenities include a fishing dock, TWO hot tubs (our newest edition is a private area just for adults!) and a crystal clear outdoor pool. Considering a seasonal stay? Active adults will love our on-site recreation. Play any of our eight shuffleboard courts, try out your bocce ball toss or petanque, or enjoy a game of mini golf or volleyball. Water aerobics, yoga, quilting and water color classes are just some of our many community-focused programs. With dances every Friday night, Pancake Breakfast every Saturday and church services on Sundays snowbirds will never be bored!

Scrivi una recensioneOur 39-foot Motorcoach barely managed to squeeze through our pull-through, narrowly avoiding some large trees. Anything over 40 feet will be a tight squeeze. We always detach our vehicle, which would have been stressful if we hadn't. The check-in was pleasant, but the pool was overrun with children, so we decided not to swim. The campsite is very family-friendly, providing a great opportunity for kids to make friends. However, be careful if you're near the water or plan to use the lake - a toddler was recently found in the jaws of an alligator a few miles from the lake. I wouldn't suggest choosing a waterfront spot if you have pets that you enjoy spending time outdoors with. Moreover, most of the campsites are quite small and not very spacious. This place is more suited for children to socialize or as a base for exploring St Pete and Fort de Soto, both of which are fantastic. I was initially attracted to the bike trail, but it turned out to be a concrete path through the city. It does keep you off the roads, but if you want to reach the beach, you'll have to leave the trail.

Pros: *Tons of staff working inside and on the grounds. Probably one of the most efficiently run campgrounds I’ve been to. *Very clean and updated facilities *Tons of amenities and things to do, for both kids and adults *Nice water access and viewing areas. Great for birding and sunrises *Great WiFi and cell service Cons: *VERY expensive. After taxes it cost us $72 for a tent site ð³. *Not much privacy. RV, tent sites and cabins were packed together like sardines. However, there was quite a bit of shade, so that was nice *Biting no-seeums. Unfortunately they are just a part of life in FL.

Didn’t have the best first impression, as there is some construction in areas that detract, including black plastic on the waterfront site covering trenches. There are also a lot of more permanent trailers and park models than usual at a KOA. But had a nice week there. The location is close to beaches and great for kayaking. The sites were close, but not bad. There are several laundry facilities and a well stocked store. We did not use the pool or hot tub but they seemed nice and always had people in them. Overall, We thought it was expensive for the quality.

I camped here for two months in 2016 and returned summer 2017 to live AND work here. Want a great working experience? Check this place out! Managers Lori and Jersey are approachable and organized and have no problem taking suggestions and answering questions from staff. Being pro active with pretty much anything is encouraged and treatment is great. The structure for scheduling is great and a team work atmosphere is presented. Great job if you like the outdoors and a considerable discount for monthly lot rent is given if you decide to reside in the camp as well as work there.

If you look up my eventual review of the KOA in Marco Island, the title will make more sense. I only have positive things to say about this KOA. It's exactly what I expect from a Kampground of America. Very child-centric, lots of things to do like ice cream socials, mini-golf, that sort of thing. Fun to ride bikes around and look at other RVs, and there's even a little quiet dock that's substantially serene for a KOA. Expensive is the main thing here. But clean bathrooms, and an incredibly accommodating staff. I had accidentally made a reservation for 2016 (when it was 2015, which it still is, unless you're reading this in the future of course) on a completely booked weekend and they made room for us in the "full-timers" zone... Which was even great. The permanent residents--some in RVs, others in park models--all keep nice sites and we were met with smiles and hellos during our entire stay. If you need to visit St. Pete, and have kids or just want to get rid of some excess digits in your bank account, this is not a bad spot. Close to things like Target, Publix, Starbucks, etc. The only reason I said I wouldn't stay here again is because I wouldn't--we were specifically coming here for a music festival and it was the most realistic place to stay that wouldn't require a long drive home. Toodles!
