Leavenworth RV Campground – États-Unis

We stayed 7 nights at the Leavenworth thousand trails and while it was fine for the most part, there were a few things that were an issue. The roads within the campground are very tight and there are trees everywhere, so it’s not easy to maneuver if you have a larger rig. There were many sites without working power, and the few full hookup sites were taken by people who lived there full time, which typically wouldn’t have been an issue. However, since there weren’t sewer hookups, we planned to use the bathrooms to shower to save room in our tanks. Every bathroom was absolutely disgusting and looked like they hadn’t been taken care of in decades. We ended up driving to the planet fitness in wenatchee to shower because we couldn’t fathom showering in their bathrooms. Also, the road to get to the campground was winding and long. It’s about 18 miles from town, which isnt usually an issue, but the road was just annoying to drive. We didn’t encounter any employees at the park until our last day, but Linda and Nils were really helpful! If you want phone service, stay near the road, the further back you go, the less cell service there is. Overall, not the worst for being free, but we likely would not come back.

This campground is part of the Thousand Trails network. We are members so we do not pay a nightly fee the above rate is an estimation for non-members. The campground is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. Would be a great family vacation spot with many activities available. Cell phone coverage is excellent at the lodge and the nearby sites but becomes more spotty the further out you get.

We really loved the area here. Tons to do from hiking, mountain biking, SUPing in Lake Wenatchee and jeeping. The park itself has a lot of hiking trails, big pool, nice lodge and good activities. It's a pretty twisty 18 miles to the town of Leavenworth if you are looking to get your yoddle on. Not a big deal for us. The downsides to this park and other also many other Thousand Trails we have been to this summer: -Dusty -Many people ignoring the 5mph speed limit and dusting your site -Lack of maintance -Narrow sites and odd layouts -Limited sewer sites -We like the Meadow View sites but many of the best sites were leased out

This was the first place we stayed once we started traveling full time and it was also the first time we used our Thousand Trails membership. We were there in the off season, and got their late. Being new to this life on the road and new to Thousand Trails we were thrown off by the find your own site policy of Thousand Trails, and at the time they had a number of sites closed due to power and / or water problems. So it started off rather frustrating. However once we were settled in we fully enjoyed it. It felt very secluded and private. The drive to Leavenworth was about 20 - 30 minutes, which didn't bother us a bit. It was nice to spend the day in Leavenworth and then drive home and relax out in the woods. It is also very close to Plain, WA which has a great little store and Lake Wenatchee which we thoroughly loved. I made note that I had 4 bars of cell there, but did not make note of whether that was Verizon or AT&T and whether or not that was using the booster. So I know we did get cell coverage, but can't share much more then that. [Actual stay was 5/3/15]

*fantastic trail system around park with beautiful views *spacious site *facilities - laundry, pool, lodge, disc golf *scheduled activities for families *close to Fish Lake This is one of the best Thousand Trails properties we've visited. Our site was large. We had 2 bars of Verizon service. Sites can get dusty due to gravel roads. The town of Plain is less than 5 miles away and has a small grocery store and breakfast spot. We didn't mind the 18 mile drive to Leavenworth.
