This quaint green space features a congenial team and an impressive vista. The internet connection was reliable. Although the park is located next to a highway, the nights were peaceful and our visit was pleasurable. It's conveniently located near another park that offers excellent trekking opportunities.

The campground hosts were amazing. They accommodated us when they technically had no spaces available. We were not able to have a location with a dump or 30/50 amp hookups. It was a holiday weekend and I called at the last minute. They did supply us with 110 hookups and water. They went out of their way to make sure we had a place to stay. This is a new RV site and they are constantly making improvements. There will soon be cabins to rent also.

The park has full hookups, all site are back-in. The wi-fi worked great and my kids had no problem connecting to play games on PlayStation and iPad. Hotspot signal was sufficient with the use of a Netgear MIMO antenna. We stayed there in late September and the weather was perfect, nice and warm during the day but dropped a bit at night... perfect for a fire. I turned the furnace on very low overnight. Although we were off that week, I felt like we could have done work and school remotely with no problems. It is located just off a main road so there is quite a bit of traffic passing at all times. The hosts are extremely friendly, helpful, and always available. They brought us a fire pit to use while we were there and we were able to purchase a bundle of firewood for $10. There is a trampoline and tire swing on site that the kids really enjoyed. This park is located just off U.S. 82 and a short 10 minute drive to Cloudcroft. Along the way there, you can pull off the road and see the amazing view of the Mexican Canyon Railroad Trestle. The little town of Cloudcroft has a great area of small shops and restaurants. The best part of our trip was, by far, the hiking! We stopped at the High Altitude Outfitters shop, bought some trekking poles and hit the Osha and Tresle Recreation Area trails. Looking forward to going back!

This is a gem. It's new and not yet on all the radars, so get it while it's good. Minutes away from Cloudcroft and Alamogordo, get access to those historic, scenic locations as well as a town large enough for a Wal-Mart, Tractor Supply, Walgreens, and more. Internet is fantastic. With only 7 spots and one of the owners who knows his tech, you can get 25Mbps up/down fairly regularly, regardless of the time of day. If you're a road warrior who needs the ability to video conference, you're in good hands. Limited cell reception for T-Mobile/Sprint networks is a drawback if you need that, however. Sites aren't entirely level, so bring what you need to deal with that. No cable, but enough internet to stream even in HD. There is a trampoline and hanging chairs for parents to watch their kids burn energy and fall asleep early. The owners own much of the area around the park and there's a private trail up to a beautiful vantage point over the valley. They mention fruit picking when in season, as well as being hunter-friendly, but neither of those applied to us during our two-week stay. I hesitated to write this review because I'd hate to be crowded out of a reservation in the future, but these folks deserve your business.

we were seeking a place to overnight in or near Cloudcroft. Located on hi way 82 between MP 10-11. cozy spot with six back in sites, some nestled in trees. Very friendly owners , the Martinez family didn’t envision an RV park when they bought the property. they are in process of renovating three rustic cabins adjacent to RV section. the entire park and cabins are along the abandoned railway that ran from Alamogordo up the mountain town of to Cloudcroft. The setting is idyllic, you can enjoy your campfire and adult beverage. truly a diamond in the rough.
