The personnel were extremely friendly and accommodating. From booking to arrival, our exchanges were highly satisfactory. The place is welcoming to large vehicles. Our 40'4" Solitude had no trouble navigating to and from our allocated area. Our designated area was slightly slanted, barely providing enough space to park our truck. We were uncertain if parking the truck behind the camper would have been a better fit, but that would have hindered the use of our outdoor kitchen. So, we simply lowered the tailgate and parked in front of the camper. We opted not to upgrade to the premium site and were content with our choice. It wouldn't have been a worthwhile investment for us. Our area was a drive-through with no shade. Despite the sun's harsh rays, our awning was of no help. However, the weather was mostly favorable during our stay, so it wasn't an issue. The areas do not come equipped with a standard "fire ring". This term is used loosely as you need to ask for them to be brought to your site. They don't resemble any fire ring I've ever seen, looking more like oversized metal buckets. Nevertheless, they served their purpose. The swimming pool was closed during our visit. We didn't utilize the mini-golf facility, choosing instead to visit the pirate golf course nearby. The game room was rather small, with most of the games either switched off or malfunctioning. Yet, I'm certain any child could have fun there. We brought our own sources of entertainment (arts and crafts, games, bikes, etc.) and kept ourselves occupied at our site. The office/camp store was charming, stocked with essential items and reasonably priced compared to other campgrounds. Yes, there was some noise from passing trains, but it wasn't overly disruptive. In fact, we were relieved we selected this campground as another local one is situated right next to the railway tracks. We stayed for almost a week (Monday to Saturday), during which several other people

We chose this park due to it’s convenient location to all that Williamsburg has to offer. The sites are small but not cramped. If you have a medium sized trailer (32’ +) you will likely need to park your tow vehicle in the overflow lot. The pool is large and clean. There is a nice, well maintained nature trail that loops around the back. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bathroom and showers are clean. The wifi is strong enough to stream netflix and hulu (at least sun to thurs-writing this on Thurs night). Neighbors are friendly without being overly intrusive. About 1/2 the park is shaded with most being pine trees. We didn’t get a premium site.

We had one of the premium spots, and it was nice, but I would not purchase it again, the difference was not worth it in my feelings, The trains may bother you depending on where they park the diesel for the night. Our first night I could feel the rumblings of the parked train, but we only heard it other nights as it passed by. The park overall was very quiet, and nice. I would not get the premium site again, but everything was in great shape. The restrooms were great and well maintained. Some of the pads were in need of some maintenance, but ours was nice. The staff was great, and always very responsive to any issues. The entrance road is a little small so be prepared and the sign is a little hidden, once you see the no u-turn/dead end signs make sure to stop as its that road before. Has great access to many of the local attractions. Wi-Fi is great and super fast.

Easy to get to, good electric, water & WiFi, and clean bathrooms. Sites are not huge but OK. On some sites you can't get satellite but they have cable. Friendly staff. For us it was a Great place to base and tour Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown.

Staff is VERY mean. Supposed to stay 5 mo, couldn’t wait to leave after 2. NO fun at all, No events, No mail forwarding, No skirts for RV (even if freezing and snow). We like homey places, where we feel welcome and comfortable. This is the opposite. Never coming back
