Write a reviewThis place was in a great spot, walking distance from town and a park. Mount Rushmore Brewing co and pounding fathers restaurant was great, laundromat that takes coins or pay by phone nearby. The sites are pretty packed together. So there was a man who was pretty friendly to us upon arrival and complimented our dogs. We’re in a renovated school bus and our AC unit was down, so on two occasions (not even dark outside at this time) we ran our bus on idle for a few minutes to give it a cool off. He storms up to our bus doors and I open them up, my fiancé turned off the bus before he got a word in. His whole face and body was red and he said if we put our bus in idle again he’d show us to the street. There were no list of rules, no warning, just rudeness. He made me cry haha, my fiancé was sweet enough to drive us out of there after seeing me get so upset by him.

Called and Steve answered by giving his name. Already impressed. He was very helpful guiding me in to the spot. Mickelson trail out front and that was a great ride. Great location right in town.

This was a great two day stop for us with full hookups. It's right in the heart of Custer near parks and the hiking trail that goes up the mountain in town. It is a small park and the spots are tight. Bathrooms are clean and well kept. The owner could not have been more welcoming and kind. They even invited everyone for a cookout one night while we were there. It was an enjoyable stay.

We happened to come on the last weekend of Sturgis so the city was really busy and no discounts were offered at the RV park. She lists information that she does not raise prices during big events, so at least there is that... The park itself is pretty small and is actually bordering another park, but it was nice, the spots were okay but nothing special. Full hookups though the locations of the hookups were so far front in the space that it took a lot of our extensions to hook up our big rig. Site was very level though and that was helpful. 2 bathrooms that worked okay but were a bit dated. No laundry and the nearby laundromat took a bit of driving to get to. Great wifi by the way! Good spot to be able to walk to the town, to the 2 nearby parks, or to the supermarket. Driving to the popular nearby things (Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, or Custer State Park for example) was very close and simple to get to. We would stay again, though the spot was a little tight for something as big as we have, but the kids loved the nearby parks and all the deer we saw.

Nothing really outstanding with any RV park and this one fits the bill. Some big-rig pull through spots with full hookups and some tent camping in the back along the creek. Creek-side is where we stayed, with only 30-amp service required to run the AC for our stay. The place is well kept, has a few bathrooms (including showers) and an every-friday-night potluck dinner for the inhabitants (which I like). Only a block off the downtown strip, it is easy to go explore and enjoy Custer. Custer State Park is only a few minutes away, Crazy Horse and Rushmore are within 30 minutes, and of course Jewel Cave is 10 minutes away too (Wind Cave is about 45 minutes away). A great base-camp spot to see all the sights.
