Cederkloof Luxury Forest Camp offers comfortable tented accommodation in Cederberg at the Cederkloof Botanical Retreat. The retreat forms part of a working farm 8km from Citrusdal, a quiet and tranquil space set in a beautiful valley abutting a wilderness area.
The tents are perfect for groups coming to the Cederberg area for biking or adventuring but it is also wonderful for couples and families.
Nestled under an indigenous forest canopy are four spacious bell tents with the same luxury linen that our guests have gotten used to. Wake up with a cacophony of birds and the rustle of trees overhead, it is truly a unique experience.
The tents are furnished with a King-size bed, bean bags, electricity, a small private kitchen with a fridge, stove and kettle for those excellent Cederkloof morning coffees.
The outdoor showers have hot water and the community area braais and ablutions are a short walk away. There is also a communal swimming pool for guest use.
The most loved activity on site is to chill – it takes skill, but the masters do it effortlessly. For those that are a bit more energetic, there is an array of outdoor activities in close proximity such as ancient Khoi and San rock paintings, waterfalls and deep fresh-water swimming pools, and horseback riding.
There’s a fantastic, highly recommended wine-and-tea paring offered at Hebron, a 20-minute drive from the resort. There are two trails on the property that takes you to vistas over the Olifants River valley, the majestic Cederberg Mountains and the Sneeuberg Nature Conservancy that is covered in snow in winter.
