Camping Grimmingsicht i Østrig

It is a small, family run camping open in winter. It serves as a perfect basecamp for skiing, ski touring, winter hiking or enjoying the nearby therme. There is a short 10 minutes walk to the village centre and 5 minutes to the Billa supermarket. The place is cosy and with a nice atmosphere made by both omni-present owners. The facilities are basic but clean and warm and a lot of attention is paid to nice details. We even got wooden blocks / steps to use it in the front of our campervan. The electricity is charged by a real consumption (we paid 2,5 EUR being hooked for 3 days) which is fair. The overall prices are somehow lower than in the other campings in the region. The snow was falling during our all stay but it was cleared promptly. The only downside worth to be mentioned is that not all pitches are flat. We definitely recommend this place.

The dutch couple who own this accomodation is very friendly and the lady informs you with a big smile on everything you want to know about Austria and the habits of the nice Austrian people. We learned more than we ever did.

There is virtually nothing to dislike. The place itself is about 10 minutes´walk from the village, surrounded by beautiful mountains and meadows, close to the road and railroad tracks (the trains are very nice and quiet, too :o)).We stayed in the pension. All the rooms were comfortable and clean,the kitchen very well equipped (some people might miss the microvawe, we did not ), we got a change of towels even during a relatively short stay.If you love cross-country skiing, there is an abundance of tracks starting right next to the building (be ready to pay for the use of them, though). A ski bus has a stop in the village. You can also order bread and buns in the pension. Annemarie and Léon are really great, easy going, very helpful and always ready to have a good laugh :o) We would definitely like to come back again !

Wir waren vor ein paar Tagen mit unserer Deutschen Dogge 2 Tage auf dem Platz - super nette Betreiber, schöne Stellplätze mit allem was man braucht, alles sauber und das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis absolut ok. Also wir kommen sicher wieder:)

Extrem freundlicher Empfang. Sehr tolle Stellplätze. Sanitäranlagen sehr sauber und gepflegt. Der Platz hat Wasser, Strom und Gasanschlüsse an jedem Stellplatz. Sehr zu empfehlen für Motorrad und Radreisende .
