We got lucky with a weekend opening for us to test out our new to us RV at turtle beach. Our rig is short, 26 feet, and we don’t have a towed vehicle. The site was fairly level, I have leveling jacks and didn’t need to add blocks under the wheels. Water and electricity and sewer all worked and the sites are ver well maintained. We didn’t use the facilities the camp provides though. Short walk and your on the beach, great location to watch the sunset! Trolley will take you into siesta keys or you can bike the short distance if you have a bike. I saw some long class A rigs come in and was surprised they made it work. Might have had a few scratches from the bushes but they got in.

A small county-operated campground with beach access within feet of the campsite. Across the street is a nice restaurant as well as an average grill. Trolley will bring you into Siesta Key and back.

The campsites at Turtle Beach Campground are close together and can be hard to get into with a bigger rig (but they do get in). The sites themselves are not special. One side backs up to a wooden fence, and the other to some shrubbery. The view out the side window is of your neighbor's rig. The campground has beach access which we enjoyed along with evening walks on the sidewalk through the neighborhood. There is wifi, however, it's not very fast. We also used the laundry and it was fine - $2 Wash/$2 Dry. Compared the the nearby RV resorts, I think it's the best price you'll find in the area for full hookups. We stayed here in the 90's when it was family owned. Always a great stay. The bathrooms have been updated and there is a laundry. No pets allowed is the only reason I haven't been back. It is now operated by Sarasota County, FL https://www.scgov.net/turtlebeachcampground/Documents/Turtle%20Beach%20Brochure%20and%20Rates.pdf

Great spot on the beach. It's really really tight but well worth it once you get in the spots. Very handy being near the showers to clean off from the beach. Can't wait to get back there!
