This place is tucked away and peaceful. The state of the spots differs. I found mine to be flat and relatively tidy, although there were a few weeds scattered amongst the stones. The majority of the pathways throughout the park have been surfaced, reducing dust levels. The majority of the spots are surrounded by trees. The employees were accommodating. The ATT 5G signal was acceptable, fluctuating between 1 and 2 bars. The wifi connection was also commendable.

The park was easy to find. It is located about eleven miles from down town Newburgh. There is pavement all the way including in the park. The Route 32 signs for the park are very small. The access road is not that easy to spot. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are paved and for the most part in good condition. Our site, 143, was a gravel back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp and water only) were to the left side. Distancing is not bad for a rural park. Most sites have a vegetation privacy barrier. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was neat, tidy and well groomed The park included wifi offers 2 and 5G. We did not attempt to stream any video using it. There is cable that offers many channels. We did not search for any OTA channels. Satellite might be difficult as the park is forested. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. The laundromat was dated but worked well. There are many amenities available during prime time. Understandably, many we not in service in October. The camp store stocks some items and treats but there are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be a good base to see the local attractions. We paid $58.99 (inc tax and resort fee) per night and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again.

The staff is friendly and the camp store is stocked. Lots of beer choices including local craft beers. The wine store has lots of Wine from around New York. Laundry room needs an upgrade, bathrooms are mostly clean. Sites are clean and fire pits are empty from previous guests. Weekends near cabins and tent sites can be loud in the summer.

We stayed here twice in the last 10 days, once on the way up to Vermont from Virginia and once on the way back. We were very surprised by the wooded large gravel sites. Lots of things to do if you have kids. We have 2 dogs and found some great trails on the property. We also went to the Empire Trail to walk across the Hudson. Very cool and a must do.

Nice campground, wooded sites but… * Check in chaotic (20 minutes needed) * Were told there is construction and we need to boil our drinking water. WHAT? No warning, and it’s July so all other campgrounds are full! * $6 resort fee for 50cent pancakes * Site not level

We are passing through NY and visiting friends as part of our Grand Tour of the US. This park is nicely wooded with clear signage, everything in the site works, and there are a lot of daily activities for kids. A quiet comfortable place to stay and relax away from the surrounding metropolis. About 300 total sites including big rigs, small rigs, cabins, and tents. The downsides- Not enough bathrooms. On the tent/cabin loop there are 150 sites served by 2 stalls ea M/W, and 5 showers. This often meant lines at both bathrooms throughout the day. If you are tent camping, in a teardrop, or one of the many cabins without your own facilities this could get very uncomfortable on a busy weekend here. They need to add another large bathroom on this loop with at least 5 stalls ea to accommodate campers there. The roads in camp are pretty rough and narrow but we had no problem getting in or out.

If you are avoiding I-95 NJ/NY/CT congestion and traveling thru central NY state this is a great stop. The campground is nicely shaded and well spaced out. Easy access off the Interstate. We just spent one night but seems like you could spend several days in the area exploring the Hudson River valley. They also offer tour/transport into NYC which might be an option for sightseeing. Road network in the campground are adequate for larger rigs. We have 35 foot Class A.
