If you're looking for a quiet, affordable, peaceful stay along the midcoast with a friendly atmosphere, this is it. Full modern hookups on level, well spaced lots greet you in a newly created campground with all the basics covered. There is a five minute walk to a picturesque harbor and it's a short drive to Bangor or Belfast for entertainment or groceries. Cell phone service is fine but not always robust enough for streaming without a little boost, but hey!, pick up a book and kick back! The hosts are super friendly and accommodating too! If you are prone to camp at a national chain with all the typical playgrounds and hype, perhaps this isn't for you.

Harbor side? Nope. Aesthetically pleasing? Nope. Resort? Definite Nope. This is not a resort by any stretch of the imagination. First impressions bad. After traveling through neighborhoods and wondering if you made a wrong turn, you enter into a dusty, gravel road looking into a small rectangular park surrounded by trees. There are weeds literally everywhere. The turn around at the end of the park is high weeds, narrow and tight turns. Maybe they are going for the natural look but it just appears neglected. The sights are short (about 35 feet) with deep, grooved gravel. They have not seen a grader in some time. These little gravel pieces are highly attracted to your shoes so you drag them into your RV and car. Weirdly, our site wasn’t overly unlevel even though it sure looked like it was. Satellite worked fine in our site and Verizon was 4g 3 bars. Water pressure was low at times even though they were far from full. The sewer connection is oddly raised so the end of your hose is high and arched. Anyone who’s emptied a black or gray tank knows that doesn’t work very well. They have one washer and one dryer for the campground and the owners. The access is through weeds and other debris into the basement. Eyebrows raised! There are no amenities other than the very good WII FI – when it worked. Occasionally, it just stopped. Oh, and for a small fee they will let you wash your rig and car. The owners are very congenial, and I wish them the best of luck. They have a lot of work to do and their pricing is off the charts for what you get!

The name is deceiving. This is not a resort. There are absolutely no amenities, with the exception of two bathrooms (only one has a shower) and a laundry (one washer, one dryer) that you share with the owners. There are positives here: Owners are really nice folks, it is very quiet, you can wash vehicles ( for a reasonable fee, which we never mind paying), and the WIFI is some of the best we’ve experienced. However; site quality is poor, gravel roads are very dusty, park is overgrown and unkempt with weeds and construction debris. For a new park, it really needs some TLC. Website pictures would indicate that you can see the harbor (hence the name) but it’s about a half mile from the park. With some improvements to the sites and some general cleanup this could be a pretty nice park.

In the true sense, this is not really a campground (yet). It really is a large lot with grass and gravel. We were told that this was their first full year of operation and they had plans to expand. That being said, we did enjoy our stay as we were passing through the area and just stayed for two nights. We did not use the facilities as we are self contained. It was quiet and it was nice to have E/W/S at each site. The location was nice as it was a beautiful 2.5 mile bike ride to Fort Point State Park and the road directly across the street from the RV park was a quick walk to the beach. Great place for a limited stay. The free WiFi, while not super fast, was good to have as our TMobile service was not very strong.
