We had the opportunity to reside in a lovely drive-through spot with comprehensive facilities. Our complimentary stay was a result of a membership sales campaign. Regardless of the promotion, it's undeniable that the park and its staff would maintain their pleasant demeanor. Initially, we intended to spend four nights, but the looming threat of a harsh snowstorm forced us to depart after merely two days. The staff was instrumental in warning us about the potential hazard and suggesting we plan a return trip during more favorable weather conditions. Amid the pandemic, we noticed a trend of parks reducing their activity programs for both adults and children, often due to a shortage of staff. We haven't yet ascertained whether this general circumstance has reversed post-pandemic. However, we were quite taken by the variety of activities offered at the KQ ranch, including live music evenings, planned children's activities, and vibrant activity schedules provided in hard copy. This park is abundant with amenities, setting it apart from those that label themselves as "resorts" based merely on having a pool and a clubhouse.

Great campsite for the whole family. Lots to do for the kids. Very family friendly campsite. Staff is fantastic. Big rig friendly (we had a 40 & 43 foot campers during our visit). We had sites 100 & 101 with full hook ups. Site 100 is big site with a great view.

We got here last night. Julian is a great little town, no franchises most stores and restaurants are locally owned. Julian is known for two items Mines (lots of mining in early 20th century) and Apples. You can get every conceivable combination of Apple pie you can think of. We got some food to go last night from the Julian Beer Company, without a doubt the best ribs ever. Today we are going to explore some mines and go shopping.

We stayed here through: https://www.cramember.com/ So if you are not a member contact them first for availability and rates. The park is rundown overall, but the location is great for visiting the Julian area. The staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed in site 200 which was on top of a hill overlooking the main campground. It gave us great views of the mountains and valley. The sites on top of the hill are a bit of a walk to get to the main campground and amenities. I also believe the hill spots are the only ones with full hookups. The rest of the campsites only have water and electric, but the park offers a honey wagon to dump your tanks. The park offered a lot of kid and adult activities throughout the week. The town of Julian was about 15 minutes from the park. There are also numerous hiking and lake trails nearby. The drive into KQ is on a tight single lane road with numerous tight turns, which made for slow driving and caution. We had good cell service on Verizon, averaging 20-30 Mbps down and 1-3 up. We used our mobile router with external antenna on ATT for work, school, streaming, and gaming without issue. We did hear of some guests complaining of spotty service in certain areas of the park. We would definitely stay here again, just for the weather, views, and to visit Julian.
