This location isn't meant for unwinding. The noise from the adjacent highway is quite disruptive, although the sound is less noticeable if you have the heating on, like we did. It's a mere half an hour away from Washington DC! This spot is ideal for those wanting to be near the local sights and explore the surrounding areas. They even provide a shuttle service, saving you the hassle of driving and finding parking in the city. The employees are very welcoming, the shop is filled to the brim with all essentials, and should you need a break from touring, you can relax by their swimming pools or do your laundry.

This place is great, the staff are all friendly as heck. They have a store, they take mail, that have a pool, a hot tub, a steam room. They have a mini golf course, a couple play grounds and a really nice dog training area with obstacle courses. The laundry facilities in the back (they have 2) near the cafe and arcade is so clean and huge! They have a lot of machines just like a real laundromat. This place is so cool. Starlink worked great here, no issues. Cellphones had reception. Nearby there is a grocery store and a Starbucks. Not to bad of a drive if you are doing site seeing. There is a bus stop within the rv park which is very convenient! However, this park is located right next to a highway and that noise is bad, we didn’t feel comfortable opening our windows with all that gas smell in the air. It would be nice if they had a wall up to reduce noise and gas.

The sites are pretty level but are really close together. For example, our nextdoor neighbors fire pit is probably 5 feet from the bedroom window in our RV. Our site was towards the middle of the park which was better for road noise, but the road right in front of our site basically is the primary road for RVs to get in and out of the park. If you stay in one of the sites on the outside of the park you’re either camping next to Cherry Hill Rd. or the interstate. There are no quiet spots in the park from what I can tell after walking around. The walking trail around the outside of the RV park is a nice feature but you’re basically walking right next to the interstate. You may be in the trees but it sounds like you’re walking on the interstate itself. My wife was walking our dog and an elderly couple with two black labs could not control their dogs and they came after our Australian Shepard and pulled the elderly lady to the ground. Dogs are barking constantly (ours doesn’t bark) and kids are riding scooters and bikes everywhere and walking through your campsite (what little there is) routinely. This is the exact opposite of what we like in a campground. We just came from the VA Beach KOA which is huge, but there are bigger spaces, trees between the sites and much more serenity. The convenience to Washington DC is the only reason to stay here.

Booked this park based on location and pictures. We only needed to stay a few days and we’re planning to be in the city for most of the trip. I was a expecting the usual “bowling alley” quality RV park but this place truly was a resort! Everything is well maintained/working, updated, clean and everything is well thought out. We went in the early fall and it was a beautiful and low key environment. My kids had so much fun! I was so surprised to later read reviews about noise as that was NOT the case for us. We have a smaller RV so we were able to park further away from the main road. I’m sure the larger A’s and trailers have to park in the pull through, premium lots which are closer to the road but I can’t imagine it’s that bad even there.

Staff was great. Daily sessions on DC and how to get around. Camp store has more than the usual. Nice that it was gated with an attendant. Costco, ikea, grocery stores and Metro train all with in :20min. Road noise is on the higher side but given the location it’s a trade off.

One of our best campsites we have been to. Best staff we have met during our roadtrip, very friendly, flexible and helpful. A lot of amenities and activities you can do besides visiting DC.

Cherry Hill Park may be the greatest campground we’ve stayed at yet! Located less than 3-miles from I-95, about 40-minutes drive time from downtown Washington, DC, and about 35-minutes from Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, this park is ideally situated for a capitol vacation. We spent 9-days in mid-July and it really wasn’t enough. The staff and the array of services available is awesome. They offer concierge assistance with sightseeing tours and mass transit (Metro). They run an express bus to/from DC each weekday which is reasonably priced. Their day and night tours are informative and fun. The cafe offers snacks and ice cream at the cafe, at the pool, or delivered to your site. The camp store was well-stocked with food and drinks, souvenirs, and basic supplies. They charge your purchases to your site (cafe, tours, store) which is smart and convenient. The pools are clean and offer a nice cooldown after a day about DC. For those without RVs, there are cabins and cottages to rent. There are indoor and outdoor reception facilities. For a few hours a day a few days each week, they offer a tram around the park. Nightly tractor rides are fun and there’s mini golf, ponds, and walking trails. The list goes on and on. Our site (#1715) was level and the full hookups all worked fine. Beside our gravel site, there was a small brick patio with cafe table and chairs in addition to the picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Everywhere I looked, I saw staff working on cleaning and maintenance — and all this work shows. The place isn’t fancy, but really well maintained and clean. This is a great place and we can’t wait to go back! THINGS I LIKED: Lots of staff to help make the most of your stay. Clean and well maintained property and facilities. Proximity to DC and Baltimore. THINGS I’D CHANGE: My only negative is the lousy wifi. It’s 2022, and I feel having reasonable wifi should be standard. It’s important to check in with work or watch movies. Come on, folks!

A large gated RV park with close proximity to the DC area and LOADED with amenities. One of the amenities that you don’t usually find is the cafe offering a fairly large menu with delivery to your site available in addition to pickup. 2 pools, indoor hot tub, mini-golf, playground equipment, etc. Sites are rock/gravel but not necessarily level. Adequate space for our RV & separate vehicle. No issues with the full hookups. We were in the 900 section which is close to the amenities we used but also results in a lot of traffic thru the area. I would love to rate this a 5-star but…..because of being in between I-95 & I-495 the traffic noise is LOUD! We usually like to site outside in the evening & watch TV but the noise made it impossible without having to expose our neighbors to a loud television.

From the drive in, we saw many buildings and development. We were pleasantly surprised how huge the campground is! Beautiful trees and fountains. Check-in was a breeze. Sites mostly level and gravel, all well-maintained. Awesome pools (with lifeguards) and activities. Some highway noise, but barely noticeable. Tours of DC available by bus. Tons of activities. Free courtesy shuttle is great! Nightly tractor rides were fun. The staff were very friendly and treated us like family. Nice on-site restaurant. We loved the pizza & food delivery to our site and to the table poolside!

This is a great park and I would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay near the DC area. They offer a concierge service and have someone who helps you learn to navigate the public transportation options available to get into and out of DC. Pools are clean and well maintained and laundry facilities were top notch. They have a lovely walking trail that skirts the park as well as dog parks and even a mini golf course, which we enjoyed very much. My only complaint would be price point. I think that they are over priced even given location. They are not located in a particularly touristy area outside of DC.

Overall, the park is nice, clean and well maintained. But we left 2 days early because of a nightmare on July 4th. We took the Metro Bus to the College Park Metro to go into DC for the concert and fireworks. Before leaving, we were told that buses stopped running at 6pm but the park will provide free shuttle service from the Metro. No one said “at a different location.” We waited and called and waited done. Ire. For almost 2 hours, cold, tired and hungry. The person I called several times said he could not help me; he didn’t know where the shuttle could pick us up! Finally another man offered to come find us. He too went to this mystery spot but til us how to get to the other pickup spot. 2 hours! I will say they let us cancel the last 2 nights and refunded our money, but our stay was ruined. The office did the right thing and I appreciate that.

A bit pricey for the off season but this is a well layed out suburban park that’s clean and amenity laden. Great spot for travel along the interstate or as a base for exploring DC. Yes there is road noise and air traffic noise but you’re in an urban area so that’s all to be expected. Highly recommend this park!

The park is very well kept and has a huge office with everything you can think from supplies to alcohol! Check in was smooth and the employees were so accommodating! We stayed 1 night to explore Washington DC and it was only 25 minutes from our site ! They have a hot tub and sauna we didn’t get to use but if we ever come back we will! Full hookups and had a wonderful stay! The highway was close and loud at times

This is a clean campground. The sites are small but level. The proximity to DC is great, but the noise from I-95 is awful. Very nice staff and amenities. If you are staying for site seeing it is perfect, but if you are looking for a good camping experience this may not be for you.

**Our rate of $81 reflects using our Good Sam discount We were looking for a campground close to DC and Cherry Hill was perfect! While Cherry Hill is not cheap, it is absolutely the best and most convenient option for those wishing to visit DC. The park staff was friendly and the park itself was well maintained and clean. We drove to the College Park Metro station (only 4.5 miles away) and had no issues parking. There is a bus depot at the campground for those that do not want to drive to the metro station. The only drawback is the very noticeable highway noise, which we expected due to the location. We would definitely recommend Cherry Hill Park!

Exceptionally clean, every amenity one could need or hope for from pools and hot tub, cafe, Minigolf, grocery, firewood, on-site public transportation access and an excellent night time DC monuments tour. Highly recommend and would definitely return!

Let me start by saying we booked this campground because we were going to be working and staying in the DC area for several weeks. From the website I expected this to be very similar to a KOA Holiday(expensive with lots of things for kids to do, so basically overrun with small children) While it was most of those things, it wasn't overrun in the way KOA's can be.(I wouldn't suggest going to the pool however) The amenities were actually pretty decent unlike what you find at most KOA's. And the cafe they have actually has pretty good burgers. Everything was well maintained and clean. Our site was pretty level for the trailer but not so much for outdoor space. I didn't experience and problems with excessively noisy neighbors. However I will say while highway noise isn't generally noticeable in the trailer with the AC or tv on it definitely is here. The highway that runs by the campground appears to be a favorite for people who like to race their engines. The first weekend we stayed I thought there was a drag strip near by until I realized it was just the highway. Other than the highway noise the only complain I have is a small one. The sites are not very deep so alot of people have to park their vehicle right on the edge of the road. That can make it a little tight when you are trying to back into a site. Not impossible but I wouldn't want a back in site if I was a novice. The cell signal was good so working at the campground using our jetpack was never a problem. Didn't try the campground wifi because except on rare occasions I haven't found any campground that are worth the effort. One tip, find somewhere to grocery shop other than Shopper which is near by. The quality of the stuff we got there was terrible.

If you want to see DC, this is the place to be. It's an easy location off the hwy and very convenient to everything. They offer a shuttle bus to the metro and pretty much any amenity you can think of. The easy off the hwy does come with noise as a downside. I was in the front section which is way quieter than the back section. I would suggest you reserve sites close to the office for less noise. The price was also quite high. I think for the location that's to be expected. The store was larger and better stocked then any other campground I've visited even with a lot of RV supplies. The 1.4 mile walking trail around the park was nice, the dog park was large and the park was very relaxing to walk around. Internet was good and solid. We were able to stream the entire time we were there so let that be a lesson to other RV parks, it is possible to have hundreds of guests and still maintain usable internet. Cable and cell service was good on both Verizon + ATT but didn't need it due to their internet being good. For day trips outside of DC, check out Alexandra and Annapolis. Both easily accessible from the campground.

Booked a spot here after a long trip and had high expectations after reading all the reviews. For $120, I had a site with bird poop all over our patio and picnic table, truly deafening highway noise and really noisy neighbors partying, other neighbors with a loud outdoor TV (to combat the loud highway!), both still going at midnight. Our neighbors had late night guests...ugh. All bad. No one enforcing quiet hours (10pm). Feel ripped off and very disappointed. Don’t believe the hype.

Avoid at all costs as it WILL cost you. In these times, an UNFORGIVING cancellation policy is UNACCEPTABLE. They do not get the need to be flexible in these COVID times. This place just don't get it.

Cherry Hill Park was easy to find and get to basically right off I-95. This was our first time RVing into the WA DC area and we were concerned about traffic getting to the campground (CG). As we arrived, traffic was heavy on I-95 but manageable. Cherry Hill’s and our RV GPS directions were spot on getting us to the park. We were very impressed with this CG from the moment we entered. We picked up our package outside the office (no contact check-in) and went to premium site 93 with FHUs. Back-in was easy. The wifi was very good but the CG was only about a 1/4 full. Cherry Hill has many different ways to stay; cottages, cabins, yurts, glamping pods, premium and regular tent sites in addition to the RV sites. As we looked around we found that all of the sites, regardless of amenities, were spaced about the same. There are a few sites in the CG on the end that will give you a little more yard space like 97 (need to be a competent backer), 402, and 1723. We got 2 bars each on Verizon and AT&T. The CG’s cable provided a large selection of channels and worked well. We were impressed with the main laundry facility due to the amount of large washers and dryers, very fair pricing and very clean. The two off leash dog parks (in the same area) were nice plus there’s a well maintained walking trail that goes around this very large CG’s perimeter. We really liked how there are trash receptacles and dog poopy bag dispensers nicely placed all over the CG. Though we didn’t use it, they even have a dog walker service so you can spend a lot of time exploring the DC area without worrying about your pups. About the only draw back was the road noise from the interstate and highway pretty much 24/7, but considering the area that is to be expected. Sites 13-38 and 1500 sites near the premium tent area are the farthest away from the road noise. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a very nice campground/RV resort. It is pretty much the best place to stay in the DC area. However, it's a little expensive when there are so many of the amenities that you can't use because of the pandemic and in cold weather (we stayed 10/11/20-10/15/20). But the biggest problem for us was the noise from the freeway. It was loud and constant.

We stayed three nights visiting our daughter who just relocated to DC. This park is well staffed, well organized and in great shape. The folks here were all nice. The site was fairly level. Perfect from head to toe but just off left to right. We had a premium site with nice table/ chairs, bbq and firepit. The only negative to the site was the lack of trees for shade in an incredibly hot and humid August. But there are other sites that check that box. The bathhouse was incredibly clean and the shower pressure was good. My iPhone 8 on AT&T was pulling 60 mgbs down! We will definitely come back.

Wow, this campground had everything and offered many different ways to camp. We did a night motorcycle ride to DC, so it was nice to be close. The campground was well maintained and had a nice pool area, restaurant, store, outdoor gym, and water park. They also had a shuttle into DC. We will definitely come back the next time we are in the area.

It is March 17th 2020 we received notification from our insurance company that we had 10 days to get back to Manitoba or our insurance would be invalid we are in a campground in Oklahoma not knowing where we would go as we had just sold our home in February 2020 looking on the website we decided we would try calling cherry hill to see if they might be open earlier or even if we could reserve a spot for advertised opening on April 15 2020 we spoke to 'Lee' who asked us what year our motorhome was I told him a 2000 Winnebago he suggested we should send him some pictures because he had never heard of that model and then said they only allow rigs no older than 10 let's just say we sent the pictures as requested and have not received a response one way or the other We are in a pandemic!!! I do not for one minute reccomend this place at anytime to anyone You should be ashamed of yourself
