We were only passing through Nashville for the night. It was an extra $5 (!) to book online so I called and made the booking online. We got repeated urgent emails to check in for our upcoming visit. The sites are pull through which was nice. But they are narrow and there is no shade at all. We did use the water park and got a discounted ticket buying it at the General Store. There is no access to the lake from either the water park or the nearby shore. One upside is that Nashville is quite close. We got an Uber for less than $20 each way which was definitely the way to go. Downtown Nashville was a lot of fun. The bathrooms were not well kept and generally dirty - much less well kept than many places we have stayed on this trip for half the price. All in all, we would not stay here again. Expensive for little benefit.

I stayed here for an overnight stay with late check-in. The check-in procedures were easy, and the pull through site was good for a night's stay. Easy access in and out.

We've enjoyed our stay here. There are very few RV parks in the Nashville/Franklin area and are more on the outskirts. We were happy to get a site here as it's relaxing by the lake. Wifi worked good most of the time and cell service was 3 of 4 bars AT&T. Very level pad and all roads and sites are concrete. Mosquitos and spiders to stay aware of at night when the lights are on, but I think that's seasonal. Picnic table and fire pit at each site. Sewer caps don't screw on very well, but manageable if weigh your hose down to stay in place. Peaceful stay.

Cons: This is NOT a resort. When you book online they charge a $5 fee, which they don’t mention. We booked one night extra over the phone and we didn’t get charged that extra fee. Campground is pretty outdated, WiFi is non existing when there’s a few people on it, no pool or access to the lake (unless you want to do water sports). Also, don’t buy anything at the little store. We needed a water filter which they tried to charge $45 (!!) for, Walmart 10 minutes down the road sells them for $17. Overall I wouldn’t go back, it’s very overpriced. Pro’s: location is great, close to Nashville and Mt Juliet

We only had a day a day and a half to enjoy the water park and the zip line. When we checked in the attendant advised us it was better to purchase a season pass even though we weren’t coming back as it would save us some money as it would give us both access to both activities. Well much to our surprise on Sunday we attempted to do the zip line and was informed it cost extra. Of course the attendant that sold us the season pass was not there and there’s was nothing anyone on sight could do. Maybe we’ll get a refund or credit for our stay but I doubt it. Oh best of all is the raccoon or possum scat everywhere, smells great in the coach.

When we first arrived we were on an interior site which was level but close to our neighbors. Luckily by the next day a lakefront site (also very level) opened up for the rest of our stay and we were very glad we moved to enjoy the peacefulness of the lake in the mornings and evenings. We did not use any of the resort amenities - water park, water sport rentals, etc. - but we were able to use our own paddle board from the launch ramp at the end of the cove. We work all day and were in a site close to the water park and were not bothered by noise at all (however, this was during COVID summer so park attendance was significantly lower than normal). Since our site was the last in the row it was angled in the opposite direction of all others which gave us more space between our one neighbor. The utility hookups for this site are on the "wrong" side for some reason but our cords & hoses reached so this wasn't an issue for us. We didn't use the bathrooms much because they weren't very well cleaned or maintained; not sure if the resort was short-staffed due to COVID or if this is the normal state. The General Store staff was very friendly and helpful. This was not the cleanest place we've ever stayed and was pricey for the lakefront site, but it suited our needs for a week in Nashville and gave us good close proximity to the places in town we wanted to visit.

When we first booked Nashville Shores we were staying at the other campground on the lake, Safe Harbor. People warned us that it’s “trashy” and we didn’t listen. I wanted to like it you guys I really did. But this is the first campground that I will NEVER go back to. The waterpark is fun, but overpriced and not included with your stay. There is no pool on site so you’re only option is waterpark. The lake is right there but they have a jet ski rental there so no swimming signs are posted. So really, there is nothing to do here. Also, the sites are TINY. so tiny that most people are spilling into their neighbors sites. And the biggest complaint is that it was just dirty. So dirty that nasty feels appropriate. Trash all over our site when we arrived, broken picknik tables, and the bathhouses. So so so NASTY. On a holiday weekend, I give a little grace. But when you advertise that you’re cleaning efforts are increased because of COVID, I’m appalled to see what it normally looks like. Spare yourself, stay at Safe Harbor.
