Throughout the previous years, we've frequently set up camp in this location. The personnel are constantly amiable and willing to assist. The area is maintained in a neat condition, including a tidy washroom. This campsite is welcoming to animals and even includes a secured area specifically for dogs. We perpetually anticipate our visits to this site.

Very well managed, extra clean bathhouse and showers, exceptionally level spots - didn't have to level at all. The camp store and check-in staff are really great and helpful. Lots of extended timers and an entire section of full timers. Great playground, dog park, picnicking, pool and activity area. Nice little lake with fishing and a swimming beach. They don't allow mini bikes or ATVs - noise is minimal. Recommend spots by the lake or along the wooded side of the roads. The rest of the sites are far too close together - almost like camping in a parking lot. Choose your site carefully. We were there at the end of winter season so not many of the resort functions had been spun back up yet but it looks to be extremely family friendly. We are an empty nest couple so that was not important to us. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots to explore and enjoy.

We visited this campground as passport America members so the price indicates the reduced rate. This campground is spacious, clean, manicured, and well managed. We would definitely stay again. We did not use the bath house as the sites were full hook up.

We are full time RV travelers who had reservations and a route through several states from NC to MN when the coronavirus pandemic caused the shutdown of many campgrounds. When I received our first cancellation notice I made a reservation for 5 nights at Deer Run to replace the cancelled site. After receiving many more cancellation notices, we decided to shelter-in-place at Deer Run and fortunately were able to extend our stay at the monthly rate. We were there from the 3rd week of March to the 3rd week of April, 2020, which was a little before their high season, so the sites in the owners' area were mostly unoccupied and the seasonal amenities were not yet open. I'm sure the stay at home orders kept the occupancy down as well. Given the situation, I don't think we could have found a better place to settle in for a month. The grounds are well maintained, there are many long pull-through sites that are popular with the weekend campers and the open space around the lake provides a setting more like a state park than an RV resort. The park is back on a scenic country road which means no road noise and nights are dark and quiet so you can hear the croaking frogs and the babbling brook and small waterfalls near the lake. The sites are set up for cable TV and they have recently extended WIFI throughout the park, for an additional fee. The laundry and restrooms/showers are clean and a good place to shelter in a storm (we experienced that too). The camp store is well stocked and the staff is simply the best - very friendly, helpful and accommodating! Verizon cell service at 2 bars was sufficient for calls but not strong enough for FaceTime.

Very nice & quiet. Staff and other campers were nice and accommodating. Fishing was very slow due to water being cold.
