For a campground that caters primarily to large rigs, the sites are surprisingly small and tightly packed. However, the employees are super friendly and helpful and the grounds are well-maintained. This place is good for a quick overnight or for a group of friends using multiple sites (as we did) but other than those options, it's not ideal.

First time ever staying in a franchise campground. Better than privately owned as they do have standards the franchisee must comply with to keep their eligibility.

First time ever staying in a franchise campground. Better than privately owned as they do have standards the franchisee must comply with to keep their eligibility. I always have and always will stay in a state or federal park. There you have park rangers to maintain orderly conduct. I left early my last day because a group of drink campers were arguing, yelling obscenities, breaking glass bottles, spinning tires, while the woman left hysterical and crying. I'm sure they are back together. They were at the other end of the park but voices carry. Quiet hours ate 8a-10p. These folks didn't care. There are a lot of folks renting slips for extended stays in their campers, rvs, etc. There are areas for huge rvs and 5th wheels with water/electric hookuos near the lake and decent tent sites. One bath house recently renovated. Not sure why they renewed everything but didn't replace the toilet seats. Guess keeping a vintage feel among everything new? Lol there is one other bathroom but no showers. If you do not want to walk, you have the classic porta-potties. No matter how bad I gotta go, I will run to the actual bathroom! There are no fire rings or cooking grates except at the cabins, which do not have bathrooms in them. You will need to bring your own grill at camping parks like this one. Honestly, only reason for the three stars are the fighting drunks and porta-potties. If you don't mind that, the test if what they offer is nice. Especially, if you like boating and fishing.
