This camping site is fantastic. It's well-maintained and the sites are pleasantly spaced out with verdant patches and trees. Our location included a built-in veranda/pavilion space with a picnic bench. The sites are covered in gravel, thus eliminating any mud issues. There's a communal swimming pool available. It's tidy, but keep in mind that it's a public pool and can get quite congested during hot summer days. The utilities are easily accessible and the personnel are extremely amicable. It's just a 15-minute drive to Pigeon Forge, providing a peaceful rural setting while still being close to all the attractions. Our visit was in June 2023.

The process of checking in was straightforward, with a map provided on the office door. We tried to follow the map to our designated spot, number 18, but the road sign indicated a one-way street to the right, causing us to miss our turn and unable to access our spot. We had to use a vacant spot further up the hill to turn around. Contrary to its name, the park is not a flat meadow, but rather a hilly terrain with streets full of potholes that cause your vehicle to tilt severely. There are drainage ditches along the road, so you need to be a skilled driver to avoid ending up in one while trying to park. We have a 39-foot Class A vehicle and my husband is an excellent driver, so we didn't have any problems with me guiding him to turn around and park. Despite the misleading name, parking is still a challenge. Our spot was quite spacious with a beautiful view of the surrounding trees. The park is a mix of permanent and temporary residents. I was expecting a flat meadow park, so I'm including a picture of the actual site. You'll definitely need your leveling jacks, as our vehicle appeared tilted but was level inside. We saw several nicer parks closer to towns and water bodies. Our spot had trash that looked like debris from a collapsed structure, including plastic siding that no one had cleaned up. The roads and potholes need repair for safer navigation. The Wi-Fi connection was unreliable and insufficient for streaming.

Large site, FHU, a laundry and Wi-Fi. Away from the insanity of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Relaxing and peaceful. I would definitely stay again!

Full hookup the view of The Great Smokey Mountains from camp sight 57 was amazing. Super easy no gates so you can come and go as you please. Also had WiFi which was a plus.

This campground has good access to Great Smokey Mountains National Park, particularly the western end. The sites are huge and full services. It had a nice swimming pool and rec area. It was quiet. It suited our purposes perfectly and we would definitely come again.

This was a great park, super friendly staff in a great location to explore Smoky Mountain National Park, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Also closer to Knoxville than we thought.

I am hesitant to write this review as I don't want to give this place up!! It is outside the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but close enough to enjoy all the Smokies has to offer. The sites are large and spaced out. Not sure you can find that anywhere else around the Smokies! The pool is nice with a deli attached to it. If you are looking for great views and a quite place to camp with full hook ups --- look no further. Next time we camp in the Smokies we will stay here!

I really liked this park. I'm not really a huge fan of the craziness of Pigeon Forge. This is a great value. I have a blog post as well as a video that I will be linking to this park in the coming weeks. Can't say enough good things about it.

Very spacious park and well maintained. We parked with a 40' fifth wheel on No. 9. With the layout, you had to pull in and do some zig-zags to move the trailer over numerous feet to the hookups which made it awkward in maneuvering a 40' 5'er, then subsequently doing the same to then get it backed back out. Would not recommend a 40' for No. 9, otherwise, the other sites looked very maneuverable. Great views and definitely will return. We use C-Spire and had great coverage.

If you’re looking to get out of the craziness of Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Sevierville, head west on 321 and visit Honeysuckle Meadows campground in Wears Valley, TN. What it lacks in some amenities (no bathhouse/clubhouse) it makes up for in beauty and friendliness. The staff were very accommodating when we had to make changes to our schedule and were very helpful in all our dealings. If you can get sites down at the base of the hill in the open valley, those are definitely the prime locations. We were in Site 38 at the top of the hill in the woods. It’s nice, to be sure, but not nearly as beautiful as those in the “valley”. There are sites that might be too small/tight for big rigs, but the majority can handle and size. The grounds are impeccably kept and the pool and snack bar are a nice touch. There is also a small fishing pond (catch and release). Wears Valley has a modest amount of infrastructure, with general stores and small mom and pop restaurants. Pigeon Forge is about 13 miles east and Townsend is about 7 miles west. But the views of the mountains in Wears Valley are outstanding. The campground has wifi, but it’s your typical campground internet (somewhat responsive during the day but clogged up at night) and they also provide cable. We will definitely return here, but I would definitely target site 24 and others down in the lower part of the campground.

Very nice place and reasonably priced. Only issue is it is a little distant from town but, that is part of what I like about it. Beautiful views. Close to foothills parkway. Reasonable drive to the Smokey mountains. Don’t be afraid to Explore the back roads to avoid the traffic jams in pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. There are no bath houses or laundry Facilities in the rv park. So be prepared for that.

We stayed in spot 49 and had an excellent experience. The spots were very large and had a wonderful wood deck with picnic table and umbrella. The fire pit was located just down in front in the grass. No bath house or laundry. Pool was nice and concession bar was actually pretty good. The pool is included for campers but is open to the public so it can get busy. About a mile away to the entrance of the Smoky Mountains/Metcalf Bottoms and about 20 minutes outside of pigeon forge.

We were very pleased with this campground. The sites are much larger than average and many had beautiful views! It is about 7 minutes from Great Smoky Mountain National Park (Metcalf Bottoms area). There are no bathrooms or laundry facilities, which wasn't an issue for us since we are fulltimers. Some of the sites are "pull-in" meaning you have to pull in and disconnect the truck in the grass, then drive it back to behind your rig. We thought this was a little odd (and would be a pain if it was muddy), no one seemed bothered by this. It's just not something we've seen too often. We had 3 bars with Verizon, but with antennae we had full service. There is a pool, but it's also open to the public, so it's crowded. Nightly rate is $40, but they have a lot of deals (Example: Stay 14 nights, get 3 free... stuff along those lines). Overall, we'd stay here again. We were at site 44 and think it was one of the best sites in the park.
