What we liked the least: This site has been made into a little Britain. Cornish pasties on offer together with hot dogs and chips. Entertainment includes bingo. When visiting France, we prefer to see France - not Britain. Many British retired people on site. No problem with the fact that they are retired but it would have been nice to see an equal amount of French people too. On our first day we thought that we'd have a drink outside the bar. We were greeted by a senior citizen, who appeared to be blind drunk and arguing with the owner of the bar. The owner was demanding that he leave and the drunk person was stating that he was not standing on bar premises. The drunk person eventually moved two metres away and continued to moan loudly and drunkenly, to his dog. The owner of the bar stormed past us with a furious face. The next day we walked around the bar to visit the swimming pool. The bar owner past us and was all smiles as though everything was always lovely and relaxed. I'm sorry but in my line of work I have to speak with many people like the drunk but I do try to remain professional and not let my temper get the better of me and storm off past other customers. Advertised reading area is apparently in the bar - presumably so that one would make purchases from the bar at the same time. We don't always want to buy drinks. We played table tennis but we found this area to be run down and we were of the opinion that it could do with updating. What we feel that people may enjoy this holiday. If you want to go to France but would like to stay at a site that offers Cornish pasties instead of Moules and offers bingo instead of taking your time over a meal with a carafe of wine and listening to some traditional French music then, in my opinion, this site is for you. I have to say that there is nothing wrong with bingo and Cornish pasties if that is what you enjoy. Our family would prefer to eat these in Britain and go to France to see and embrace the French way of life.

I bought a mobile home in 2015.So excited. Have been down a few times to get the way I want. There always seems to be bills to pay, the last one would have taken ten minutes to fix and I was charge a huge amount . If this carries on I will have to sell as it would be cheaper to stay in a Gite.

We have owned a mobile home here for 5 years, at first it was great and then, there was a lot of changes( not for the better). They got rid of a very good company that could repair any mobile home and was very popular the majority of the clients on the site.( just because he was English and well liked.) They tried to get a20% cut out of every job that was carried out, as you had to book through the office. The receptionist is from another world, she changed our contract without our knowledge. Lives on site with her partner and does not obey the rules on noise, as it is for everyone else and she thinks they are exempt. I could go on. Do not buy or you will regret it.

We have had a caravan here for the last 8 years and love it. Very child friendly site, very close to a beautiful village of Apremont and 15 minutes drive to the coast. If you like cycling, this is a great place with loads of beautiful cycle paths alongside rivers and countryside. It's not the cheapest place to stay, but it's friendly. Yet he bar is great and during the high season there are many themed nights. If you want a family friendly relaxing holiday this is the place for you.

all in all the camp is very good but every now and then they come up with a new rule to upset people. The latest is,( in a round about way) telling us who we can have to work on our static caravans. They do this by loading 50% onto the price of our preferred workman, I know we can have who we want but who in their right mind is going to pay 50% more for the same job.

I have seen some negative reviews on here and I am surprised ! The site is lovely if you have young kids - everyone is friendly and looks out for the kids. The pools are great and even though the park is basic the kids love it. The bar is a bit pricey, but at least there is one if you fancy a drink and a snack. They also make a real effort with theme nights in the bar if that is your thing! Apremont Itself is beautiful with its castle and beach. Highly recommended if you want a relaxing holiday !

A god awful site with rude owners who are not child friendly...I owned a mobile home here for 2 years, after only 2 visits to this god awful site. I found someone to buy my mobile, someone who was retired an who didn't have kids, thank god.The site owners demanded 20% of the overall sale price. Theres quite a few nice retired people on this site who live there all year round, but like me learned to shut up an not speak out! please please dont buy a mobile here and don't holiday here!!!!!! at "Les Prairies du "Nightmare"

I have had a mobile home here for 7 years and love it. Very friendly site and great for children. My daughter was 11 when we came here she is now 18 and still comes back with us and meets up with all her friends. I would highly recommend this site.

Zéér onvriendelijk echtpaar dat de camping runt. Animatie stelt niks voor, hoewel de meid(en) erg hun best doen. Er is een zwembad, maar dat water is echt steenkoud. Alles wat in de folder/op internet wordt beloofd is opgehemeld. Bij aankomst wacht u een nare verrassing. De camping zegt kindvriendelijk te zijn. In werkelijkheid worden kinderen geweerd en mogen ze zelfs geen (bal)spelletjes doen. Voor kinderen die de hele dag voor de tent kunnen zitten een perfecte camping. Voor gewone kinderen een onmogelijk opgave om het op deze camping leuk te hebben!

Ik ben net terug van de vakantie ben 16 jaar en heb me uitstekend vermaakt! van de zogenaamde oude zeurende engelse heb ik niets gemerkt ze waren erg vriendelijk! Elke avond is er wel iets te doen in de bar. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en elke ochtend en middag was er kinderanimatie behalve zaterdag, dit was wel in het engels beter dan in het frans toch?? Trouwens de jongen die de animatie doet is een hele leuke aardige jongen niets over te klagen! Al bij al waren het een geweldige 2 weken en zou ik zonder enige twijfel terug willen! en alle mensen van mijn leeftijd dacht er zo over en mijn ouders?? die hebben het ook uitstekend naar de zin gehad! Je kunt wel alleen op negatieve puntjes letten maar je kunt ook het positieve bekijke en dat was hier toch wel in het merendeel ik heb dan ook niets op te merken!!! Super camping!!

wij zijn in de zomer van 2005 met onze drie kinderen naar deze camping geweest. onze eerste indruk was niet veel. Zeer weinig voorzieningen.De broodjesservice was wel goed. Het eten op de camping was zeer slecht en erg kostbaar. De voertaal is engels. Animatie was gericht op de Engelse.Verder was op het zwembad niets aan te merken. Voor de kleintjes was er een speeltuin maar verder erg weinig vertier.Toch hebben we een hele leuke vakantie gehad maar daar heeft de camping zelf niet veel aan bijgedragen ,voor ons geen Apremont meer.

Deze camping heeft maar 8.....kleine camping plaatsen, de resterende ruimte wordt ingenomen door mobil homes. Het recreatieteam moet het doen met zeer weinig voorzieningen. Het beheerdersechtpaar is onvriendelijk. De keuken is ronduit slecht en duur. Geen aanrader dus.

Wij verbleven met 4 volwassenen op 27 vierkante meter in een mobile home. Afgezien van de broodjes service was de camping niet veel. Het vertier was toch wel op een stukje rijden te vinden. Zeker geen camping voor de kleintjes. Voorheer zal het een gezellige camping geweest zijn maar nu zijn tenten naar mijn idee niet welkom. Het sanitair dat buiten de mobile home (op het campingdeel) beschikbaar was heeft zijn glorie tijd in de 60 er jaren gehad. De voertaal is Engels.

We zijn hier 2 weken geweest in Juni met 2 kinderen (1+3. Stacaravan was goed met veranda en afdak. Personeel erg onvriendelijk, absoluut niet gastvrij. Inderdaad veel oude Engelsen. Speeltuin niet kindvriendelijk door zeer harde ondergrond. Onderhoud rond zwembad laat te wensen over. Ligt redelijk ver (20 min. auto) van strand en supermarkten af. Afscheidingen tussen caravans is slecht, lage boompjes waardoor weinig privacy. Broodjesservice is goed. Zwembad ligt vrijwel direct aan de weg, dus zwemmen naast drukke doorgaande weg, niet echt vakantiegevoel. Voor tenten slechte en kleine plekken. Als je voor rust komt, dan kan het een aardige camping zijn, indien je voor het strand komt kun je beter dichter bij St. Gilles du Croix zoeken, wat overig een erg leuk dorp is.

Wij zijn net terug van deze camping waar we 2 weken hebben gelogeerd in een mobil-home. Voor gezinnen met kinderen ( zoals wij) kan ik deze camping afraden, er is weinig te doen voor kinderen en op de camping zitten meeste oudere engelsen die daar een home gekocht hebben. De voorzieningen voor de kinderen zijn minimaal, er mag bijv. niet gevoetbald worden of met een bal gespeeld worden voor de mobil-homes! Men is in alles zeer gericht op ouder publiek en liefst mensen die daar van hun pensioen willen genieten. Dus ben je 60+ en wil je rust , dan is dit een goede camping maar voor jonge mensen en gezinnen met kinderen...snel wat anders zoeken. Tevens hebben wij zeer slechte ervaringen gehad na ons vertrek, bij thuiskomst kregen wij een rekening gepresenteerd voor zgn zaken die kapot zouden zijn gegaan tijdens ons verblijf, dit is absoluut niet juist!
