Glamping tents in different variants, tree-top cabins or luxury holiday homes with different designs are some of the newer ways to holiday. At the same time, there has been a trend towards shorter holidays - both during regular holiday periods, but also on weekdays. Many people want a break from the daily grind. One or two days away from work, household chores and stressful appointments. Just time off, relaxation and pampering. Often complemented by nature experiences where the wind, weather and surroundings alone provide the entertainment.

Sea views are in demand

One of the many new types of holiday that has emerged during the Corona period is HAVsuites holiday homes located near Odder, south of Aarhus. HAVsuites are located at Hølken Strand, right on the beach on the east coast, with views of Samsø, Tunø and Aarhus Bay. Here is beautiful nature, quiet, peaceful and completely calm. In spring 2021 the 4 holiday homes were inaugurated. Owners Mette and Carsten Andersen were almost blown away by the demand that immediately arrived.

Many types of guests

He continues, "We've had almost all types of people as guests - typically couples or lovers who want to unwind for a few days. Here they find peace, comfort and nature, beach and water on their doorstep," he reports. "On weekdays, it's mainly slightly older couples who visit us. They've stopped working and have plenty of time and inclination to get away from home to experience new places. Surprisingly, however, there are also a number of younger couples who take a few days off and go on a love trip - away from the daily and sometimes busy routine. Slow down and enjoy the peace and quiet, a glass of wine and pure relaxation."

Luxury is important

Carsten Andersen also says that their guests appreciate the luxury that is part of the package. HAVsuite's holiday homes are equipped with their own outdoor spa, from which the view of the sea can be enjoyed with a glass of bubbly. Guests also have the option of ordering a variety of treats - such as tapas, wine and luxury coffee. All in a good quality for guests with a taste for good things. At the same time, Carsten Andersen believes that Danish holidaymakers have woken up to our own country and want to explore new places. "We get guests from almost all parts of Denmark. We often hear them asking about the area south of Aarhus and near Hou. Part of the guest experience is also getting to know the area," says Carsten.
